In this world, there are all types of love. You have the love of spouses for one another. There is the love of parents for their children. There is the love of siblings. Friends also can show love that isn’t romantic but a special bond. This world also has several forms of hate and dislike. There is discontent and distrust. There is resentfulness and greed. Despite all these types of love, they are nothing compared to the infinite love of God. His love wraps around you like a warm blanket in winter. It protects you even when you don’t think you deserve love or protection. Here are some ways God’s love is different from what you experience in this world.
God’s Love Is Eternal
When we die, the love we have on Earth ends. We no longer love our spouse or children because we are not here to express it. Therefore, the love we have on Earth doesn’t last forever. It has a time-stamp and an end date. However, God’s love exists through time and space. It is there when we are alive and when we die. It is eternal. That love is different from what we currently experience. We feel His love on Earth and after we leave Earth unless we are Predestined to Hell.
God’s Love Is Unconditional
Unlike human love that often comes with conditions, God’s love does not. We are loved despite our sins and failings. When we ask for forgiveness in our hearts, God grants us forgiveness. He listens when we plead our sinfulness and loves us anyway. God has asked us to keep His commandments and follow Him, but even when we do not follow Him, He loves us unconditionally. His love is the perfect marketing tool for Christians.
No Hate Exists in Heaven
While there is hatred on Earth, heaven doesn’t have hatred. Those who hate or distrust are usually sent to the fires of hell. Those who are in heaven experience God’s love without resentment or distrust. They don’t have those human emotions any longer. It is pure light in heaven that is greater than any light on Earth. The love that comes from that inner light is different from what we experience here.
God’s Love Is Healing
Many times, we know of a loved one who is so ill that doctors do not know how to heal the person. Then, a priest or minister prays over that person who is healed miraculously. That is an example of God healing our land or people. God’s love can heal as shown in the Bible. While His healing power often goes through doctors and nurses, many times, He wants to heal when the people on Earth don’t know how it could be done. That love will heal and save those who have not completed their Earthly mission.
God’s Love Is Challenging
God often asks us to climb a mountain when we would prefer to stay on level ground. His love is not easy to experience. It involves trusting Him and accepting His challenges. He will provide us the protection as we go through those challenges, but He will not let us avoid them if we accept His love in our life. Therefore, if we are struggling to broadcast our radio station or write books, we have to trust that God is there with us through the struggle.
God’s Love Is Found Everywhere
On Earth, we often go to places where we can feel no love at all. In those places, we have to search, but we will always find God’s love. His love is everywhere even in places that are dark and scary. Even in the Bible, many of the prophets or Apostles were in situations that were scary and dark. They trusted in God’s love and were protected. While we can easily feel God’s love in our churches, we also could search for His love in the walking with Jesus book.
